More than 21 passengers arrived at Manchester Airport on Thursday evening ahead of an easyget flight scheduled to take off at 00 p.m. and found that the flight would not depart as planned.
After a long wait into the wee hours of the night, the passengers realized that the flight to Israel would no longer leave and they were sent back to Manchester, Ruhama Sandler, one of the passengers on the plane, tells us.
"Today they gave us several dates for the new flight to Israel, but none of them took place, until they decided to send the passengers by surprise, claiming that the flight was brought forward from now to now.
"The passengers who rushed to the airport discovered that the flight wasn't really leaving on time as the airline claimed, and as of now we haven't taken off yet. Moreover, we have been closed inside the plane for three hours. I'm really a hostage here," Sandler concludes.
Many passengers who were on the plane are Sabbath-observant religious and had to get off the plane so as not to violate the Sabbath, and it is doubtful whether a solution will be found for them.
EasyGet's response has not yet been received.
