On the way to a huge transition in the Euroleague: After Olympiacos announced on Thursday that they were parting ways with Kostas Slokas, sources familiar with the details indicate that the decorated Greek point guard is on the safe path to signing for Fenerbahce.
Slokas, 33, reached the Euroleague final with Olympiacos last May, taking advantage of Fenerbahce in the play-off series along the way. He is now expected to return to the Turkish elite team where he played between 2015 and 2020. Partizan Belgrade has also expressed interest in the services of the excellent player, but apparently he prefers to play under Dimitris Itoudis in Istanbul.

At Fenerbahce, Slokas is expected to replace Nick Klathes, who is leaving the Turkish team, and fill the leading point guard position. According to the sources, the deal is expected to be finalized in the coming days, and the player will play in the yellow-and-blue uniform for the next two years.
