Greece is in suspense: Local media claim on Saturday that Kostas Slokas, who left Olympiacos, is close to signing for the rejuvenated Panathinaikos, who offered him a huge contract of €10 million for 3 years.
If the veteran point guard moves to the city rival, it will be a real earthquake in Greek basketball, as Slokas has become one of the players most identified with the Red team, playing in the media for two different terms.

As reported by Israel Hayom, Slokas was also on the radar of Turkish side Fenerbahce looking for a replacement for Greek Nick Klathes.
The 33-year-old star reached the Euroleague final with Olympiacos last May and has been considered one of Europe's top players for several years. In the past he also played for Panabahce and Aris Thessaloniki.
