The internet in the United States is in turmoil after a patrol car in Nevada ran over a climate protester checkpoint on Monday and police violently arrested the protesters. The incident occurred after protesters created a two-kilometer traffic jam on one of the roads in the desert country to block access to the popular Burning Man festival.

Alongside the attack on the policemen, there were also those who praised their activities. One of the drivers standing in the traffic jam wrote: "As a truck driver who has to stand in traffic twice a week because of the same protesters, it's hard for me to empathize with them. For giant truck drivers struggling to put their vehicles on the side of the road, these roadblocks are simply life-threatening."
