Two residents of Pardes Hanna-Karkur in their 30s were arrested Monday evening on suspicion of beating and critically injuring a local resident. Medical officials who arrived at the scene gave the wounded man medical treatment and evacuated him to hospital.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the wounded man came to attack one of the suspects who was in contact with his daughter. The father, who resisted the conspiracy, arrived at the scene with a knife and scratched one of the suspects. The suspect and his friend then punched him, critically wounding him.

When police arrived at the scene, they noticed a man lying on the floor and arrested the two suspects. A preliminary investigation revealed that there was a personal dispute between the suspects and the victim. The suspects were brought to the police station for interrogation, and in accordance with its results, the police will ask tomorrow to extend their detention.
Nadav Gov, a United Hatzalah medic who was nearby and arrived at the scene first, said: "I performed prolonged resuscitation on the wounded man with the help of a United Hatzalah volunteer doctor (while administering an electric shock) and after miraculously his heart beat again, he was evacuated to the hospital."
