The investigation began last week, when the incident was reported to the 100 hotline. It is suspected that on 20 August 8, the defendant entered the taxi of the 23-year-old taxi driver with his toddler daughter on Abba Ahimeir Street in Tel Aviv.

The driver complained to the defendant about waiting and in response, the defendant swore at him. The victim asked the defendant to get out of the taxi and in response the defendant threatened him. When the victim went out to close the door, which the defendant had left open, the defendant punched him in the face, head and chest, causing bruises that required medical treatment, including bleeding in his face.

An indictment was filed against the attacker in which he is charged with offenses of assaulting an elderly person causing real injury and threats. On the other hand, upon his arrest, the passenger claimed that it was the taxi driver who attacked first.
