The two sisters, Sarah and Liba Goldshimet, aged 12 and 8, respectively, were located tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) in an apartment in the Krayot area.
The two were located after days of searching for them, after staying with their mother, who did not return them to their father at the end of custody of the two. An artist who was staying with them in the apartment was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping them. The father of the two came to the apartment where they were found and took them back. Yesterday, it was confirmed that the grandmother of the two was arrested on suspicion of involvement in their abduction.

This is an Israeli family, originally from northern Israel, who immigrated to the United States a decade ago, where the couple had three children: a son and two daughters. A few years ago, the couple divorced and the father, a US citizen, received full custody of the children. The US court allowed the mother to take the two girls on vacation in Israel and imposed various restrictions on her, including that she must return the girls to their father, who arrived in Israel ten days later.

When the father arrived in Israel, he lost contact with his daughters, who had not arrived at the place where they had been determined to return to his possession - the Central Railway Station in Tel Aviv. The father activated the Israeli authorities, who launched a search for them, during which they feared for their lives. Tonight, as stated, the two were located. The authorities will now examine the prosecution of the mother and grandmother for kidnapping.
