A 34-year-old IDF officer, who was critically injured earlier this week in a car accident on Route 6, died Wednesday in hospital after medical staff fought for her life. Her family was notified. The police, in cooperation with the military police, opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
Yesterday, a serious accident occurred between four vehicles on Route 6 southbound near the Nitzanei Oz interchange. After rescue operations from the vehicle, the officer was evacuated to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba in critical condition, suffering from multiple systemic injuries. Another injured man, a 39-year-old man, was evacuated in light condition.

MDA medic Haim Algarbeli, who was at the scene of the accident, said: "When we arrived at the scene we saw that it was a very serious accident, a private vehicle in which the driver was trapped was squashed and in addition to several other vehicles, after the rescue from the vehicle, we gave the woman medical treatment, she was breathless and without a pulse and suffered a multi-system injury, we performed advanced and prolonged resuscitation operations even while evacuating her to the hospital in critical condition. A 39-year-old man from another vehicle was fully conscious and suffered minor injuries and after initial treatment on the ground, we evacuated him to hospital in light condition."
