Immediately afterwards, the Ministry of Finance also issued a statement.
"We are not going into the details of the negotiations. Unfortunately, the gaps are large and there is still no agreement. We are making efforts to reach agreements that will lead to an improvement in the education system," the statement said.
So far, the Finance Ministry has offered an additional NIS 1100 per teacher. Erez's original demand was a salary of NIS 12,<> for a beginning teacher.
