Riots in Beit Shemesh: Beit Shemesh Mayor Aliza Bloch was rescued tonight (Tuesday-Wednesday) after about an hour from a building where she was besieged, following ultra-Orthodox extremists who surrounded the building, set bins on fire and attacked her car. The police rescued Bloch with increased forces. There were no casualties in the incident.

Bloch arrived for the purpose of the inauguration of a Talmud Torah event in the city. Her car windows were shattered and the wheels punctured.
