The Foreign Ministry said Thursday that a 50-year-old Israeli woman was killed after falling off a bicycle while riding in the village of Atuki in Cyprus, near Larnaca. The incident is recognized and handled by the Israeli Consul General in Cyprus and the Department for Israelis Abroad at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Last month, a 73-year-old Israeli woman was killed during a hike in Plitvice Falls, Croatia. The Israelis fell from a great height and was killed instantly. The Israeli Consulate in Zagreb, Hadas Dolev, arrived at the scene of the disaster to meet the family. In addition, the Department for Israelis Abroad in the Consular Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assisted in the process of transferring the deceased for burial in Israel.

Earlier that month, a 55-year-old Israeli hiker was killed after falling from Mont Blanc mountain in France.
