Has an attack just been prevented in Nice? An individual suspected of preparing a violent act was in any case arrested Friday morning in the capital of the Riviera by the domestic intelligence services (DGSI), learns Le Figaro from police source, confirming information from BFM TV / BFM Côte d'Azur. It is the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office (PNAT) that seized the DGSI "on the basis of an individual terrorist enterprise," says the same source.
Aged about thirty years, this individual was apparently known and monitored for several years for his radicalization. According to BFM, he suggested during online exchanges that he had weapons and that he planned to use them. Immediately alerted by these remarks, the DGSI searched his home, where at least one weapon was discovered as well as cartridges.

The man was taken into custody in the aftermath. In view of the suspicions against him, his hearings can last four days, or 96 hours. For the investigators, it is now a question of determining the motives of the respondent, but especially whether he intended to carry out his threats.
