Yanky Goldhaber intrigued many of his followers on Thursday when he posted a story on his personal Instagram in which he documented the screening pages he fills out as part of his upcoming recruitment process to the IDF. Following the story in question, which aroused great interest among surfers, Goldhaber uploaded a video in which he shared with them his great excitement towards achieving the desired goal.
"One of the dreams that, God willing, is going to come true, soon!" wrote Goldhaber against the background of a photo of him filling out screening forms for the IDF. Yanki's story led to a flood of questions on the subject from his followers, and he responded by posting an explanatory video in which he shared details that he can reveal at this point. "A lot of people ask me what about the army after I brought up the screening I'm doing now. God willing, I'm going to enlist soon. When I can tell where, I'll tell where," he promised. "With G-d's help, I'm going to do a meaningful service, like everyone else. And will be good. I am really happy and happy that I am able to fulfill this great dream," he shared.

Yanky told Israel Hayom: "I will serve regular service, not national service. Service of two or eight (referring to the type of leave from the army, eight days on base and two days at home) as they say. For me, the importance of service is, of course, to be Israeli, to be a proud Israeli. As proud as I am of my Judaism, I am no less proud of my Israeliness. Don't give up, don't be different from anyone. The most important thing is to serve the country and protect the people of Israel."
