Central District Commander Major General Avi Biton instructed the deployment of special units in the Jawarish neighborhood of Ramle tonight (Sunday-Monday) as part of the offensive strategy against the crime families, at the end of which two members of a local family were arrested on suspicion of involvement in a murder incident in Hatsev

Tonight, a variety of special units of the Israel Police, including the SWAT unit, the Central District Commander, Major General Avi Biton, focused on crime generators for the sake of public safety and security, in light of violent crime on the Arab street.

As stated, at the end of operational activity, the forces detained two local residents who were transferred for interrogation to the offices of the Central District Central Unit, along with the seizure of two Kalashnikov air weapons, a pistol and a magazine, which were transferred to the Israel Police forensic laboratories for further evidence extraction.

Central District Commander Lt. Gen. Avi Biton said: This is a determined operational move that sends a clear message that any attempt to harm police officers carries a heavy price, and that if there is a real danger, the order is to neutralize any threat immediately.
