DECRYPTION - His film-concert could generate $150 million to $200 million in box office receipts this weekend. Enough to compete with Hollywood blockbusters.

It's not a movie. And yet, The Eras Tour could well put its name at the top of the bill, alongside the biggest blockbusters of the year. After playing concerts and filling stadiums in the United States and Mexico, Taylor Swift is now preparing to triumph in the cinema.

The pop star had been keen for his documentary, a behind-the-scenes look at his tour event, to be released in cinemas around the world on Friday, October 13. His lucky number. But interest in the film prompted the star to change his plans. "Look what you're making me do: Due to unprecedented demand, we are opening early screenings of the concert film The Eras Tour on Thursday in America and Canada," the singer wrote on social media. Even better: additional sessions have been added during the coming weekend. A decision that delighted the "swifties", the community of fans of the pop star.
