Education Minister Yoav Kisch issued a statement to the media on Sunday regarding the state of learning in the shadow of the war. Among other things, he said: "We are beginning to build an ongoing emergency routine, the policy is security and security above all, a gradual return and consideration of the emotional aspect. We don't take risks, we don't act as a directive from above, and we share the field."

He added: "In due course, the officials will investigate all the failures and what happened on Black Saturday. We must focus on victory – we are at war. There is responsibility for those who took the decision to cleanse."

At the beginning of his remarks, the minister said that "the cruelty of the enemy is unimaginable, the Education Ministry bows its head on the murdered victims. We feel their bitter pain and our hearts are with the abductees. We will continue to accompany the families and help as much as possible."
