In a letter, a copy of which was also sent to National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi, Edelstein writes: "Every reasonable person understands that these funds will leak, whether in part or in part, from the PA to Gaza and from there to Hamas."
"The State of Israel needs to reevaluate this issue and many others. What was is not what will be. We understand this, and now the terrorists, their supporters and their dispatchers understand it too. The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which I chair, oversees and will continue to supervise every issue related to the security and foreign relations of the State of Israel."
