Report from the field: On the 27th day of the war and the sixth day of the ground maneuver, IDF forces continue their operational activities in the Gaza Strip and crush Hamas' defense system in order to move on to the next stage, which will include a much deeper internal entrance.
During the past 24 hours, the IDF eliminated dozens of terrorists and destroyed terrorist infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip. During the night (between Wednesday and Thursday), Golani Brigade fighters, accompanied by armored forces, fought fierce battles with many squads of terrorists who fired anti-tank fire at them, detonated IEDs and threw grenades.

The fierce fighting was conducted with the support of artillery fire from the ground, aircraft from the air and the direction of a missile ship for attack from the sea.
In addition, during the ground operation in the Gaza Strip, Nahal Brigade fighters encountered a terrorist squad that opened fire at them. The fighters and brigade firefighters directed aircraft for an airstrike, after which the terrorists were eliminated.

During the past 24 hours, IDF reservists also acted in cooperation with air forces and directed aircraft to attack an anti-tank squad that planned to fire at our forces, while being covered with fire by naval forces.
In recent days, fighters of the Ga'ash Brigade have eliminated many terrorists and directed aircraft that destroyed terrorist infrastructure belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization, including weapons depots, weapons production sites, an anti-tank launching post and UAV launching positions.
