Storm on the North Sea coast, strong winds on the Baltic Sea coast

Highlights: A hurricane depression is moving from the English Channel over England towards the North Sea. Gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour are expected by noon. East Frisia and Heligoland are particularly affected by the storm. On the Baltic Sea, strong winds are expected for the most part, but stronger gusts of wind are to be expected from Flensburg to Fehmarn and on Rügen. The strong wind will be accompanied by dense clouds and rain showers with temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees.

The German Weather Service has issued a storm warning for parts of the North Sea coast and a strong wind warning for parts of the Baltic Sea coast. A hurricane depression is moving from the English Channel over England towards the North Sea, the weather service said early Thursday morning. Gusts of up to 90 kilometers per hour are expected by noon.

Hamburg/Kiel/Schwerin/Hanover - On the North Sea, East Frisia and Heligoland are particularly affected. On the Baltic Sea, strong winds are expected for the most part, but stronger gusts of wind are to be expected from Flensburg to Fehmarn and on Rügen. The strong wind will be accompanied by dense clouds and rain showers with temperatures between 11 and 14 degrees.
