Gabriel Tuito, from the Gaza Strip, was supposed to celebrate a festive bar mitzvah on Thursday, but following the war and the evacuation of his family to a hotel on the Dead Sea, the event was canceled. When the Ministry of the Negev, Galilee and National Resilience heard about it, they arranged a surprise bar mitzvah for Gabriel. Gabriel's entire locality in the hotel kept the secret - and the whole family had a perfect surprise.

In the morning, Gabriel woke up to a particularly happy celebration. He ascended to the Torah together with Paytan, a performance by singer Gabi Shitrit and musicians who delighted Gabriel and his family with drums and trumpets. Of course there was also a festive breakfast, cakes and balloons.
"The event was very moving, we didn't expect to celebrate the bar mitzvah we had been waiting for so much but was cancelled. It made us happy and all the residents at the hotel and gave us some moments of fun during these difficult days," said Siegel, Gabriel's mother.
