Senior Hamas official in Lebanon Osama Hamdan said on Saturday that the leader of the terrorist organization Ismail Haniyeh visited Tehran a few days ago and met with Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In a statement to the media on Saturday, Haniyeh threatened that "Hamas will use all the cards at its disposal to thwart Israel's plans."
Hamdan spoke to the pro-Iranian Al-Mayadeen Network and expressed appreciation for "our brothers in the resistance axis, who stood by our people and our resistance, and for the popular actions of the [Islamic] nation." This was in reference to the demonstrations and according to Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. It should be noted that those close to Hamas expressed disappointment after the speech that Nasrallah did not declare the expansion of his attacks, citing only the threat.

IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Daniel Hagari said earlier this week in a statement to the media: "If you want to understand who is involved in the war, you can pay attention to Haniyeh's visit to Iran, he is going to visit there on a private plane, and the reception he receives in Iran is significant, it means that Iran is pushing the Houthis and Hezbollah around us in order to divert us from focusing on Hamas in Gaza, we are focused on Hamas."
