The Emirati News Agency reported Monday evening that under the instructions of Emirati President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the country will establish a field hospital in the Gaza Strip as part of a special humanitarian operation to medically support the residents.

According to the report, five planes carrying all the equipment for the field hospital will leave for Egypt and their cargo will be unloaded at El Arish Airport in the Sinai Peninsula. Among other things, the cargo will include 150 hospital beds.

Meanwhile, the Emirati president spoke with US Vice President Kamala Harris. The two discussed efforts to increase humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In addition, the issue of humanitarian corridors was raised in order to enable international organizations to carry out their duties.
