However, in the Yesh Atid party there are quite a few opponents of the move. The issue came up on Monday at a meeting of the party's faction, and there was a lively discussion on the matter, but at least a third of party members said that a measure that would cause her dismissal should not be supported.
Impeaching a Knesset member is no small matter. In order to oust her, signatures of 70 Knesset members are needed, including ten from the opposition. After that, a majority of three-quarters of Knesset members is required in the Knesset Committee, and then 90 MKs are needed to vote in favor of impeachment.
