Published posts comparing Hamas terror attacks to French resistance against Nazi occupation Foreign Minister: "Hate, extremism and violence are incompatible with the conduct of France's foreign policy"

A former external worker in the French government's Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs was filmed today tearing up signs with portraits of Israeli abductees held in Gaza, including apparently French citizens, apparently minors. The ministry spokesman said it had other publications comparing Hamas' terrorist attacks to the French resistance against the Nazi occupation.

In a statement, the ministry said that the publications apparently meet the definition of antisemitism adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance and approved by France in February 2019: "The judicial system will determine whether criminal prosecution is justified," it noted.

"The video released today shows a completely inappropriate attitude, behavior and statements, which categorically disqualify this woman from having a working relationship with the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs. "Although there are no longer any contractual ties between her and the ministry, an administrative investigation into the conditions of her recruitment will be carried out from today, at the request of Minister Catherine Colonna, "The minister reiterates very firmly that hatred, extremism and violence by definition are incompatible with the conduct of France's foreign policy directly or indirectly."
