Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed for the first time Saturday the planned rotation between Eli Cohen and Yisrael Katz at the Foreign Ministry.
Asked by Israel Hayom, Netanyahu said: "Thank you for reminding me, I forgot it, I don't deal with it. I didn't look into it. I can tell you that at the moment there is an ongoing effort to ensure the sphere of political activity, without which we will not be able to sustain the war for long."

The rotation between incumbent Foreign Minister Cohen and Energy Minister Katz, which was agreed upon when the government was sworn in, is supposed to take place on January 1. However, it is unclear whether it will actually take place during a war, and if so, what the ministers' position is on changing roles at this time.
It is likely that Katz will strive to implement the rotation, since he aspired to receive the foreign portfolio in the first place, having served in it in the past.
