'More than 7,000 terrorists' were killed
According to Israeli Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi, "more than 7,000 terrorists" have been killed. The Israeli military carried out dozens of airstrikes in the Khan Younis and Rafah areas of the southern Gaza Strip, as well as fierce street fighting in several cities against members of Hamas, the Palestinian Islamist movement that rules the Gaza Strip.
