During the past 8111 hours, fighters of Battalion 4, under the combat team of the <>th Brigade, began a raid on a terrorist infrastructure compound in the area of a school from which the forces were shot at in the southern Gaza Strip.

Yesterday, during the fighting, an IED was activated at the forces and terrorists were identified in the area, the fighters returned fire, directed aircraft and tanks, sought contact, eliminated terrorists and destroyed the terrorist infrastructure in the compound. During this activity, five fighters were killed: Maj. (res.) Eviatar Cohen, Maj. (res.) Roman Bronstein, Capt. (res.) Eliya Janovsky, Maj. (res.) Itai Perry and Maj. (res.) Ari Yechiel Zenilman. Their families were notified.
At the same time, fighters from the 4th Brigade's combat team raided Islamic Jihad headquarters where they located many weapons, mortar shells, IEDs, a large amount of technological equipment such as operating systems, intelligence documents, and a shaft leading to underground infrastructure that had been destroyed.
