Staff Sgt. (Res.) Tomer Shlomo Miara, 28, a soldier in the 710th Engineer Battalion (Ram Formation), fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday. Miara is survived by his parents and four brothers and sisters. His funeral will take place today (Sunday) at 12:00 in the Netanya cemetery.

His sister Venus eulogized him: "The last time you hugged me, if I had known it was the last time, I wouldn't have broken the hug too quickly. You are a great soul and there is no one like you in the world. You entered Gaza and fought for us and for the country. They say that God takes the good ones, and in your case it takes the best in the world. Love you and miss you painfully."

His sister Inbar eulogized him: "From a young age, everyone would rally around you. Wherever they knew our names, they always asked me enthusiastically, 'What, are you Tomer's sister?', I am the proudest in the world to be Tomer's sister, love you."
His brother Avichai eulogized him: "My brother, dearest of all, I want to thank you for half a century in which you looked after me, raised me, you were my best friend for 19 years. You taught me to persevere in whatever I wanted. I want to thank you, for fighting for us, until you couldn't fight anymore. You fought valiantly and always made sure to calm us down."

His uncle Amichai eulogized him: "My heart is broken to pieces. You went to war because they called you to defend your homeland and save lives, but your life was not saved, and we were left broken. We are sad to live without you. The many friends you have gathered in Israel and around the world consider you their brother. You fell as a Jewish soldier in a war of existence. Please say, a personal request, come visit us in dreams, so that we can hug you, even for a brief moment."
