After the tragedy in which three abductees were shot by IDF forces after they were suspected terrorists, MK Ofer Kasif attacked Netanyahu in a post on Network X: "Netanyahu murders the hostages, abuses their families and abandons Israeli society once again."

Following the tweet, B'Tselem filed a complaint with the Knesset Ethics Committee and called for Kasif to be punished with a fine and expulsion from the Knesset for six months.

"It is inconceivable to call the prime minister a murderer for this human error," CEO Shai Glick wrote in the letter of complaint. "It's not just an injury to him, it's mainly an injury to IDF soldiers and the people of Israel during such severe fighting, and of course a fatal blow to the families of the abductees who fell. I call on the committee to prosecute him and detain him for a period of six months plus a significant fine."
Glick said: "Ofer Kasif is dancing on blood at the most difficult time for the people. This man is fomenting strife, discord and hatred and his place is in prison or at home. Not in the Knesset."
