The President of Israel met at his residence in Jerusalem with Emmy-winning Hollywood film actress Debra Messing. The actress first came to Israel for a support visit after the events of October 7.

During their meeting, Messing explained why she came to Israel: "I felt that I had to be here, to show the Israelis that you have not been forgotten, and that we are working day and night to bring back the abductees. I have no doubt that at the end of the day the State of Israel will be safe, and the Jewish people will be safe."
President Herzog thanked the movie star for her advocacy efforts on behalf of the State of Israel and the Jewish people, stressing: "We thank you for coming to Israel. Our war is for the whole world. That's what we need to continue explaining everywhere."
