Maj. (res.) Maoz Fenigstein, a soldier in Battalion 7008, the "Half Fire" Brigade (551), fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip, according to a report released Tuesday evening.

In a statement issued by the Mount Hebron Regional Council following the death of Fenigstein, who grew up in Talmon in the Binyamin Regional Council, he is survived by his wife Odia and infant daughter Tene.

Earlier today, it was reported that two IDF soldiers fell and two others were seriously wounded in battle in the northern Gaza Strip. The injured were taken to hospital and their families were updated.

One of those killed was Capt. (res.), Rotem Yosef Levy z"l, from Oranit, 24, who served in the Yahalam combat engineering unit, who fell as a result of an encounter with terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip, in a battle in which Captain (res.), Netanel Silberg z"l, fell. His funeral took place earlier today.

The second fatality was Sergeant Major (res.), Daniel Yaakov Ben Harush z"l Malon, a soldier in Battalion 6551 in the "Half Fire" Division (551), 31 years old at the time of his fall, who left behind a two-year-old son.
