Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the Mount Hebron Regional Council on Wednesday morning. During his visit, he met with about 150 commanders from the Judea Brigade who are currently occupying a line in the sector. In his remarks to the fighters, he reinforced the commander of the Central Command, Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fuchs, after notices were posted in several places in Judea and Samaria stating that "persecutory law" applies to Fuchs.

"It is very important for me to take this opportunity to strengthen Maj. Gen. Yehuda Fuchs, who is going through difficult days of blatant, brazen and ugly personal attacks. The IDF is doing everything possible to protect the residents. There is a vocal minority group that is causing terrible damage to both the settlements and the IDF, and it is very important that we stand up to it and make it clear – so far. We believe in the State of Israel and believe in its laws and capabilities. The entire nation stands behind the IDF. Our sons and daughters are in the IDF, and the IDF is the people's army that protects the people, protects the people, and will bring us victory as well."
"I would like to strengthen the War Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Netanyahu, and all members of the Cabinet for their prudent and responsible decisions," he added. "We are in a long, difficult, heavy and very painful battle. And we will do everything to bring the abductees home. We deal with it day and night."

"Yesterday, I announced publicly that we are ready for a ceasefire and a humanitarian pause in order to enter another round of hostages quickly returned. This is a great mission and redeeming captives is a great mitzvah; At the same time, we will continue the campaign until victory, in order to change the face of the region and bring about a better future."
Later, the president came to comfort and strengthen the Berkowitz family from Susya, whose son Eyal fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip, and the Ilani family from Asael, who lost husband and father Gideon, who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip.
