In another attack during a raid by the forces on buildings in the Khan Yunis area, an IED was activated against them, killing Staff Sergeant Nir Raphael Kananian and Staff Sergeant Brahanu Kasia and wounding five other fighters.
The following day, fighters from the Givati Patrol, in cooperation with the engineering battalion, blew up the buildings where the IEDs had been planted and the fighters fell.
Givati Patrol Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ziv directed the forces in connection with the destruction of the building where the fighters were killed: "I said this before the second entrance - we have no choice. You were on October 7 and every day you will remember this, we have many dead and wounded in the unit, unfortunately. But that's not what's going to stop the cruiser. Every day to fight with you is a huge pride. I'm proud of you and I trust you."
