Following the IED explosion that occurred on Tuesday near the Israeli Embassy in India in New Delhi, and the assumption that it may have been a terrorist attack, the National Security Council issued new warnings to Israelis staying in the country and in the city in particular.

Among the NSC's recommendations: Avoid crowded places such as markets and malls, or places identified as being used by Westerners or Jews and Israelis. Heightened vigilance should also be maintained in public places, including bars, restaurants and hotels.
Another recommendation included in the NSC announcement is to refrain from externalizing Israeli symbols and avoid participating in large events that are not secure. Finally, it is recommended to refrain from posting travel details on social media or posting photos and visit details before the trip.
