Say congratulations: Aviran Shmuel, who was one of the most prominent contestants in the last season of "Survivor," proposed Monday to his partner, Tzlil Jano, who agreed.
The couple met about a year ago, shortly before the successful reality show aired, and have been together ever since. Last night he knelt before her and offered her to live with him forever, to which, as mentioned, she replied in the affirmative.
Aviran Shmuel and his partner Tzlil Jano,
Shmuel did not make it to the final of Survivor, but unlike the last contestants in the season in which he participated, he decided not to attend the filming of the final episode or to be interviewed by the media in order to promote it. According to a contract, the participants of the program are obligated to reach the final, but despite the production's attempts to persuade him to retract it, Shmuel decided to boycott it.
Ahead of filming the final, a source in the production told Israel Hayom that Shmuel felt hurt by the conduct of the game during and after filming, claiming that it was conducted unfairly. Those close to him added that he felt cheated — and he even threatened legal action against the show's production.
As first reported by Israel Hayom, after Shmuel's representatives met with representatives of Reshet 13, it was decided that he would be compensated in the amount of tens of thousands of shekels. Network 13 denied at the time that they had reached a compensation agreement with him, saying: "The contestants are paid for their participation in the program and reimbursement of expenses. Although he did not show up for the final filming and as a gesture of goodwill, it was decided to give him the rest of the payment for his participation in the program."
