Video: Car explosion in Netanya/According to section 27A of the Copyright Law
A man was found dead on Tuesday after being rescued from a vehicle that caught fire in Netanya. The background to the case is apparently criminal. The identity of the person has not yet been ascertained.
MDA and police were called to the scene following a report of an explosion heard in the city. After locating the vehicle that caught fire, efforts were made to extinguish the fire, and the person was rescued from it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"When we arrived at the scene, we saw the vehicle on fire. The firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and when it was possible to approach we found the body of a man inside the vehicle with no signs of life and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead," MDA medic Oren Haddad said.

The police said that a sapper found remains of weapons in the vehicle, and he forwarded the findings for further investigation to the police forensic laboratories. It was apparently an explosive device attached to the vehicle, but the circumstances are being investigated.
