An indictment for five different offenses, including theft of a vehicle, intentional sabotage of a vehicle and illegal presence in Israel, was filed in the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court on Wednesday morning against a 20-year-old illegal alien from Tulkarem who stole a car in the city
Last Friday morning, the police received a report of a car theft on Shmuel Tamir Street in Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv North police began searching during which they located the stolen vehicle near the Shalom interchange and arrested the suspected thief. The suspect allegedly broke the window of the vehicle, broke in and drove away, driving without a license and without insurance.
The suspect was detained for interrogation, and his detention was periodically extended by the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court. At the end of the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Prosecution Unit requested that he be remanded in custody until the end of the proceedings and filed an indictment against him for offenses of car theft, willful sabotage of a vehicle, illegal presence in Israel, driving without a license and without insurance.
