In light of the publications in Israel Hayom, the Samaria Regional Council recently conducted an investigation with other organizations in which it was revealed how the UN website presents terrorist attacks against Israel as nationalist crimes.

In fact, according to the investigation, these incidents are even described as "settler violence." The investigation also said that a report on an increase in settler violence presented in the American media turned out to be wrong. The graph in this report shows that there has been an increase in the number of incidents – from one incident per day on 6 October to seven incidents per day on 8 October.

The council claims that the data even led US President Joe Biden and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to make far-reaching statements. For example, Biden announced that he would take steps to grant visas against "extremist settlers."

According to police data, since October 7 there has been a decline in the nationalist crime rate in Judea and Samaria. According to the data, there was a dramatic decrease in nationalist crime incidents in October 2023 compared to October the previous year. In October 2022, 174 incidents were recorded compared to 119 incidents in October 2023. A similar number of incidents appears in Central Command reports. Most of the incidents are low-crime incidents.

Regional Council head Yossi Dagan will send the full report to the government and the White House, and he intends to demand clarifications. He called it an "anti-Semitic and false campaign." Minister Eli Cohen said he would demand answers from the United Nations.
