Highlights: The IDF published data on a significant decline in rocket launches from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. This is neither helpful nor comforting, and the details should be reserved for internal IDF learning only. Since the beginning of the ground fighting, we have had 29 casualties in operational accidents and bilateral fire. The soldiers who were killed fell like heroes on the Home Guard. And all of them are the beauty of the balloon and the title and the purity. And they are all dusty and bloody, guarding the silver platter on which the State of Israel is presented to us.

There is no place to publish data on the deaths of soldiers by fire from our forces • This is neither helpful nor comforting • They all fell on the Home Guard, and the details should be reserved for internal IDF learning only

Just as the time of the day after will come, so will the time for statistics. Not now. Not while fighting.

I hate statistics. I hate it, because sometimes they open their mouths to Satan. For example, yesterday the IDF published data on a significant decline in rocket launches from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory.

It was reported that on 7 December, the week following the truce, there were 75 launches, which decreased to 23, until on 27 December they stood at 14 launches per day. "A decline of about 80% in December," the IDF said in an update.

What is it good for? I asked the sender of the message. After all, it's opening a mouth to the devil. The answer was - not related to Satan, this is dry data. Just a few hours later, there were more than 20 launches from Gaza towards the central region, as missiles and drones continued to penetrate in the north.

Yesterday, the IDF published dry data on casualties of bilateral gunfire and operational malfunctions. Since the beginning of the ground fighting, we have had 29 casualties in operational accidents and bilateral fire. Eighteen soldiers in a report shooting, two soldiers in a shooting irregularity incident (stray bullet), nine fatalities in accidents, including pole collapse and weapons explosions, and more from the Bishin nucleus. In addition, four more soldiers were killed in the north and Judea and Samaria. A total of 18 fatalities were killed in incidents that were not caused by enemy fire.

What good are these numbers and figures for? In my opinion, there is no place to publish them to the general public. It's not helpful, and certainly not comforting. The soldiers who were killed fell like heroes on the Home Guard. Is it accidental that the statistics of their fall do not make a difference between blood and blood? Is their fall less heroic? What is it good for? It was right to use it for internal IDF purposes, to learn and improve.

And all this is compounded by the most obscene statistics of all - the statistics that are not really carried out, but the one that is said by feeling and sentences our dead according to sectors.

It is one thing to admire the education that students receive in pre-military preparatory programs and settlement yeshivas, and their contribution to the state and society and security, and another is to use it cynically politically to glorify politicians from the religious sector. It is sinful to the fallen and sinful to society as a whole, which stood up as one for battle.

They are all fierce. And all of them are the beauty of the balloon and the title and the purity. And they are all dusty and bloody, guarding the silver platter on which the State of Israel is presented to us. All that is required of us is to protect it, not to divide and divide

If there is one thing that repeats itself in the stories of the fighters returning from the battlefields, and in the wills of the fallen and in the difficulties of the bereaved families, it is maintaining unity.

and the names of those killed from all over the country. From Afula and Tiberias and Netanya and Pardesiya and Modi'in and Jerusalem and Eilat, and also from Judea and Samaria. And they are all fierce. And all of them are the beauty of the balloon and the title and the purity. And they are all dusty and bloody, guarding the silver platter on which the State of Israel is presented to us. All that is required of us is to protect it, not to divide and conflict.

Not asking if there are pilots who are not willing to provide air support to combatants because they are settlers is an obscene question. Prime Minister Netanyahu, instead of scolding whoever asked her, scolded the general – who himself belongs to the knitted yarmulkes – who replied that it was not true, adding that the question was terrible. And it is indeed terrible.

Those who make a distinction between blood and blood and speak again in the discourse of October 6, 2023 harm the entire nation, which will not allow this discourse to return to our lives.
