90 days after the October 7 massacre, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, who until now has refused to comment on the October 7 debacle, claiming that "now we are fighting – we will investigate later," decided to establish a team to investigate the war and the events that preceded it on Black Saturday.
Committee members will receive appointment documents from the General Staff in the near future. Among the examiners will be former IDF Chief of Staff and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and retired generals Yoav Har Even, Aharon Zeevi-Farkas and Sami Turgeman.
