Preparing for revenge: Iran's regime on Friday raised the red flag of revenge over the central mosque in the city of Qom, a Shiite Islamic holy city and religious center in Iran, a sign of imminent military action in retaliation for the attack that killed more than 100 people in the city of Kerman.

The flag was broadcast on all major Iranian media channels as a clear symbol of the regime's intention to take revenge for the attack. The last time the flag was raised was in 2019 after the assassination of Qasim Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force in Iraq. Iran then attacked a U.S. military base in Ain al-Assad in Iraq with a barrage of ballistic missiles.
The commander of the IRGC, General Hossein Salami, spoke yesterday about the ISIS terrorist organization's claim of responsibility for the attack in Kerman, saying that "behind ISIS are the United States and Israel." This marks the two countries as possible targets for Iranian retaliation.
Meanwhile, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said on state television that several of the suspects suspected of involvement in the attack in Kerman Province this week had been arrested.
