A sting battle broke out Tuesday night between Defense Minister Yoav Galant and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir during a meeting of the political-security cabinet.
During the discussion, Ben-Gvir said: "Masses of terrorists are hiding in Rafah, and the time has come for action there as well." In response, Galant quipped: "Have you ever been to Rafah?" Ben-Gvir replied: "It's time for you to stop belittling. For nine months you sat here, you said I didn't understand anything, maybe enough with the arrogance? Go to your court reporter and give it to him, it doesn't help you in the Likud."
Last week, there was also a stormy cabinet meeting, during which the ministers attacked IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy over the idea of establishing investigative teams to examine the events of October 7.
