Antoine Frérot, CEO of Veolia, presents the company's new strategic plan, which marks the end of a solid year in 2019. Last year, turnover increased by 4.3% to 27.2 billion euros, driven three-quarters by organic growth. With an Ebitda (gross operating surplus) up 4.5% to 4.02 billion euros, and an increase in current net profit of 13.5% to 760 million euros.
LE FIGARO. - You concluded a four-year plan in 2019. What is your assessment?
Antoine FRÉROT.- With this plan, we wanted to demonstrate that Veolia was capable of developing profitable and significant growth in turnover, of 2 to 3% on average per year; of its Ebitda, between 4 and 5% per year; and its net profit, at + 10%. And that, with the same capital, that is to say at constant debt.
