Cancellation of the agricultural fair: alternative events will take place, promises the FNSEA

Meetings will be organized in the capital and in the provinces, assures Christiane Lambert, the president of the first agricultural union. The Concours Général Agricole will be held, in particular.


A first for the great agricultural meeting.

Organized for more than 50 years in Paris, the 58th edition of the International Agricultural Show (SIA) will not take place as planned from February 27 to March 7, 2021. But the National Federation of Farmers' Unions (FNSEA) promises the organization of alternative events.

The decision is difficult but necessary given the health situation.

This meeting with the public is precious for farmers and visitors alike: count on us to innovate and offer new methods of exchange, in Paris and in the regions!

The 6,000 people of the jury will meet in four French cities.

She reminds that this competition is very important for the profession since it allows producers to win “gold medals”, “silver medals”, “bronze medals”, appellation enhancing their products.
