A series of surprise raids by the National Gendarmerie in the downtown area of Buenos Aires
stopped the operation of the blue dollar on Wednesday.
These are
multiple raids
by Gendarmerie officers in a case for money laundering, foreign currency trafficking and possible links with drug trafficking, reported sources of the force.
Gendarmerie troops work on Florida Street, between San Martín and Lavalle.
The investigation began almost two years ago around a criminal organization with ties to Bolivia, Chile and Peru.
According to the sources, the raids, ordered by the intervening justice, are multiple and point at different points where it is believed that the money laundering maneuver is taking place, including in buildings in the Buenos Aires microcenter.
