"We will use this removal of the cap to take into account fixed charges in the sectors which are the most affected by the crisis,"

Bruno Le Maire told the Senate Economic Affairs Committee.

"We will therefore do it, I say it very precisely, on a case by case basis",

specified the Minister, adding that as announced by Prime Minister Jean Castex, this will be the case in particular

"for

the ski lifts of ski resorts. mountain

, the fixed charges exceed three million euros ”

.

"We are also studying the possibility of using this removal of the cap for Parisian department stores, for example, which have extremely high rental amounts"

and which, when they have an area greater than 20,000 square meters, are administratively closed to fight against the Covid-19 epidemic, said Bruno Le Maire.

Extended fixed costs coverage

This coverage of fixed costs is generally reserved for companies with a turnover of more than one million euros, and is in addition to compensation of up to 20% of turnover, which can go up to to 200,000 euros monthly.

However, hotel and catering and accommodation and catering companies in mountain areas will also be entitled to it, even if their turnover is less than one million euros.
