The International Energy Agency recorded a decline in global demand for oil during the last three months due to the repercussions of the outbreak of the mutated “delta” from the Corona virus, and at the same time, it expected a recovery in this demand next month.

Agence France-Presse quoted the agency as saying in a report today that global oil demand is still under pressure from the emerging delta from the Corona virus in major consumer markets, especially in parts of Asia.

The monthly report of the International Energy Agency stated that demand has witnessed a decline since last July, after witnessing a recovery in the previous month, pointing out that the rate of decline in this demand between last July and this September amounted to 130 thousand barrels per day.

In its report, the agency expected that global demand for oil would recover in October and that the recovery pattern would continue until the end of the year due to optimistic news about a decline in global infections in recent weeks and continued progress in the production of vaccine doses and vaccinations and the easing of restrictions in terms of divergence in several countries.
