Boeing and Aerion (Boeing) AS2
After two years in which the aviation world suffered uneasy upheavals, which swept across the entire supply chain, the aircraft manufacturer Boeing is signaling a very optimistic demand for passenger and cargo aircraft for the next 20 years.
According to the company's forecast for the Middle East region, demand will be for 3,000 new aircraft with a total monetary value of $ 700 billion.
For this figure, the manufacturer also includes the costs associated with the maintenance and supply of spare parts, which are expected to be an additional $ 740 billion.
The forecast is based on the expectation of a doubling of passenger traffic, followed by a doubling of the aircraft fleet.
The distribution of the increase in demand is about two-thirds for new aircraft that reflect market growth, while the remaining third is the replacement of obsolete aircraft in the new model line like the MAX 737, Dreamliner 787 and 777X aircraft.
Wider-body and more fuel-efficient aircraft than the previous passenger aircraft generation.

New Middle East
The optimistic atmosphere underlying the forecast rests on two components, the first being the role of the Middle East as a key global connection point and key to emerging markets in Southeast Asia, China and Africa. The second is the Middle East leadership in the recovery and confidence of consumers in commercial flight safety. So says
Randy Heissy, Middle East Commercial Marketing Director at Boeing
.
Other growth engines mentioned in the forecast refer to doubling the demand for cargo aircraft, from 80 in 2019 to 150 aircraft in 2040 as a result of growing demand for air transport and the location of operations of two of the world's top five cargo companies in the Middle East.
The expected opening of borders in the area will also be a catalyst for the demand for wide-body passenger planes. While the narrow-body aircraft field will also evolve from 660 aircraft today to 1,750 aircraft by 2040. To all of these must be added the maintenance shell and the set of spare parts required for the aircraft.
This growth, has additional significance regarding the manpower around this industry.
According to the manufacturer, aviation crews by 2040 will encompass an order of magnitude of 223,000 jobs, including 54,000 pilots, 51,000 technicians and 91,000 crew members on aircraft.
