The Arrangements Law was approved by the Knesset plenum, which led the Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, to celebrate the successful result for him in a particularly charged quote from a book of his own.

: "Since the Arrangements Law was born in 1985, the Arrangements Law has not been so full of revolutionary reforms that bring a huge line to the country's citizens. Dozens of reforms and fiscal legislation that include import reform, training, retirement age for women, regulation and open banking." .

The Minister of Finance concluded: "These reforms express the vision that lies in the entire economic plan of the State of Israel, that in the absence of a vision, the people will be disrupted."

The last sentence is particularly interesting, since it is a quote from a number of proverbs - and the second part of the verse is "And the keeper of the Torah confirmed it."

On the one hand, Lieberman may have meant that material achievements are incomplete without a spiritual vision (one of the accepted interpretations of the verse), however, it may be that the finance minister did not hold back and sent a covert sting to his opponents from the ultra-Orthodox parties.

Raising the income supplement for the elderly in the amount of NIS 1.5 billion, so that individuals will be entitled to an increase of between NIS 473 and NIS 481 per month in the pension, so that it will be at least 70% of the minimum wage.

In addition, the benefit for a couple will be increased between NIS 745 and 761 per month, so that the total benefit will be at least NIS 5,865 per month.
