German economy: Gross domestic product will increase by 2.7 percent in 2021

Because of the corona pandemic, the gross domestic product in Germany collapsed. Economic output rose again in 2021. However, restrictions due to the pandemic could weaken them again.

German economic output increased last year: the gross domestic product rose by 2.7 percent in 2021, according to a first official estimate by the Federal Statistical Office.

After the GDP slumped by 4.6 percent in the first year of the corona pandemic, growth was expected.
